I actually started astrophotography before daytime photography. My first DSLR, a Nikon, was a gift for me in the interest of attaching it to my telescope to image deep sky objects and the moon! However, I knew I could also apply it to daytime subjects, of which Colorado has no shortage.

Most of my photography happens at events or trips to the Rockies or near the city. I’m not much of the traveler but I still get the feeling that I’ll never run out of opportunities nearby locally. Hikes account for a majority of the locations in which I get images and they offer a great way to get unique and interesting images.

Aside from photography, my other pursuits include a detailed study of music, RC airplanes, electronics, and music composition. I’ll continue photography indefinitely when time allows and I plan to keep updating this site, particularly with the non-astro images since I have other avenues for that.
